At an exhibition at the «Universitätsbibliothek» in Frankfurt/Main, in the University library's common room, Jochem Hendricks showed, besides four further pieces, a work consisting of one opened up locker, filled with coins for the coffee- and sandwich-vendingmachines, secured with a riveted bullet-proof glass pane in front. After two of the pieces were stolen on the first couple of days of the exhibition, a man dresssed in a trenchcoat, a slouch-hat and sunglasses appeared with a drill, saying he was the artist, drilled open the locker and disappeared with the money. |
